Rell has been in the construction business in the Murphy area since 1974 having become one of the first residential contractors licensed in Cherokee County in 1983.
Over the course of my 35+ years in the area, I have obtained a long list of satisfied customers, realtors, and banking officials who know of my proven track record. Of course, I have a very close and warm relationship with the employees and subcontractors that I use in my construction business. It is my belief that these men and women are second to none in their workmanship abilities.

Owner Rell Lackland holds a master’s degree in engineering from the University of South Florida and has been a licensed North Carolina general contractor since 1983. Most of our customers come through referrals from satisfied clients, lending institutions, and realtors that are aware of the skill and integrity of our company. We have been here through the lean and the boom years, and have stayed consistently engaged in residential construction.
My wife Carol and I have lived in Murphy for over thirty-seven years and have a deep commitment to our family and community.
